The second match of the touring the Australian Under-17 ‘The Young Cricketers Development and International Experience Programme’ (TYCDIEP) cricket team, a Twenty20 cricket fixture played against Richmond College, Galle, was washed off without a ball being bowled on Monday (21) in Galle.
The team was earlier involved in matches in Dambulla and a practice match played at Dharmaraja College in Kandy.
TYCDIEP is a programme run by Johann Jayasinha and Vernon Tissera who are based in Melbourne, Australia. Gordon King and Shaun Petri are the two coaches involved in the tour.
At the Dambulla International Stadium, the Aussie U-17 team played against an U-17 Northern Provincial Team before their game played against an SLC U-17 Southern Provincial Team, at Seenigama.
The tour will be over on Thursday (24) following their match played against St. Joseph’s College in Colombo, at R. Premadasa Stadium on Wednesday.
