The Africa cup of nation commonly known as AFCON is scheduled to be in 2023 and 2025. Guinea was given rights to host the 2025 TotalEnergies AFCON . However, the Confederation of Africa Football, abbreviated as CAF , removed Guinea to host the 2025 men's competition due to problems with infrastructure and facilities.
In a statement by CAF president , Patrice Motsepe who went to visit the Country, Guinea , said the country will not be ready to host the event by 2025. He asked for fresh bids from different countries who are interested in hosting the 2025 event.
Zambia is to bid for the hosting of the Africa cup of nation. Mr. chileshe Kangwa , sport and arts confirmed the interest , he said the government is interested in bidding as CAF asked for fresh bids.
However, Zambia still needs to improve the infrastructure as well to qualify as host of AFCON. Some people are happy but some are concerned about the infrastructure of stadiums.

People have different views here in Zambia but it requires CAF to review and see if Zambia.
Countries such Algeria, Morocco, Nigeria, Ghana and the Republic of Benin also have shown interest to bid for the host of 2025 AFCON events.
According to CAF 11 November will be the deadline for the countries bid for the hosting of the competition.
